1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you ('the Buyer', 'you', 'your') and Seranova ('we', 'us', 'our'), governing all access to and use of the Seranova website, and all orders, purchases, enquiries, and interactions conducted through this website.

 

By accessing this website, creating an account, submitting an enquiry, or placing an order, you confirm that you:

•        Have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in full;

•        Are a qualified researcher, scientist, or are purchasing on behalf of a registered research institution or laboratory;

•        Understand that all products are for research purposes only and will not be used for human or animal consumption, self-administration, or any other non-research purpose;

•        Will comply with all applicable South African laws and regulations, as well as any institutional guidelines that apply to your research activities.

 

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using this website and must not place any order.

2. Research-Grade Products — Strict Intended Use

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it carefully.

 

2.1 All peptides and research compounds sold by Seranova are:

•        Supplied exclusively for in vitro laboratory research and scientific study;

•        Not approved by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), the Medicines Control Council (MCC), or any other regulatory body for human or veterinary therapeutic use;

•        Not intended for, and must not be used for, human consumption, self-injection, self-administration, or personal health or wellness purposes;

•        Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition;

•        Sold with the understanding that you are a qualified researcher purchasing for legitimate scientific research.

 

2.2 By placing an order, you expressly represent and warrant that:

•        You are purchasing these products solely for lawful research purposes;

•        You have the qualifications, facilities, and institutional approvals necessary to handle research-grade compounds safely and legally;

•        You will not resell, redistribute, or supply these products to any person who intends to use them for human or animal consumption or therapeutic purposes;

•        You accept full legal and personal responsibility for any and all use of the products after they have been delivered to you.

 

2.3 Misuse Warning:

The use of research peptides for human self-administration, or supplying them to others for such use, may constitute a criminal offence under the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965 (as amended) and related South African legislation. Seranova will cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation relating to the misuse of its products.

•        Are not purchasing these products for personal use, self-administration, resale to consumers, or any purpose other than legitimate scientific research;

•        Are not located in a jurisdiction where the purchase, import, or possession of research peptides is prohibited.

 

Seranova reserves the right to refuse any order where it has reasonable grounds to believe that the above conditions are not met, without being obliged to provide a reason.

5. Orders and Acceptance

5.1 Placing an order on this website does not constitute a binding contract until Seranova confirms acceptance of your order via email or notification.

 

5.2 Seranova reserves the right at our sole discretion to accept, decline, cancel, or limit any order, including where:

•        Products are out of stock or unavailable;

•        Payment cannot be verified or confirmed;

•        There is reason to believe the order is being placed for non-research purposes;

•        There has been a pricing error or website error;

•        The order does not comply with these Terms.

 

5.3 Once an order is accepted and payment confirmed, the price displayed at checkout will apply to that order, subject to any obvious pricing error.

6. Pricing and Payment

6.1 All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

 

6.2 Seranova reserves the right to update product pricing at any time. However, once your order is accepted and payment confirmed, you will not be charged more than the price agreed at checkout, except in the case of an obvious error.

 

6.3 Payment must be made through the payment methods available on the website at the time of purchase. We do not store your payment card details.

7. Delivery

7.1 Seranova delivers within South Africa only.

 

7.2 Delivery timeframes provided are estimates only. Delays may occur due to courier availability, public holidays, payment verification delays, stock availability, or circumstances beyond our control.

 

7.3 Risk of loss and title for products passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout.

 

7.4 It is your responsibility to provide an accurate delivery address. Seranova will not be held liable for non-delivery resulting from an incorrect address provided by the buyer.

8. No Returns, No Refunds — All Sales Final

8.1 Due to the nature of research-grade biological compounds and strict quality control, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Seranova does not accept returns or offer refunds once an order has been dispatched, except as required by applicable South African law.

 

8.2 This policy exists because:

•        Research peptides are sensitive biological compounds that may be compromised once they leave our controlled storage environment;

•        We cannot verify storage conditions or handling after delivery;

•        The integrity of returned products cannot be guaranteed.

 

8.3 Exceptions (as required under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008):

We will address complaints where:

•        A product is delivered in a materially different condition to what was ordered;

•        A product is demonstrably defective at the time of dispatch;

•        The incorrect product was delivered.

 

In such cases, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery with photographic evidence. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period.

 

8.4 We do not offer refunds or returns based on buyer error, change of mind, regulatory issues in the buyer's jurisdiction, or the buyer's decision not to use the product for research purposes.

9. No Medical Advice

Nothing on this website, including product descriptions, research summaries, blog posts, guides, or any other content, constitutes medical advice, a diagnosis, a prescription, or a treatment recommendation.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties
